 Ministry of Internal Affairs confirms mine explosion in Luhansk region: three soldiers killed, three wounded

The Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Luhansk region confirmed that a group of Ukrainian servicemen tripped a mine near the 29th checkpoint yesterday.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, General Department in the Luhansk Region.

"Three soldiers were killed and three wounded (born 1964, 1974, and 1975) in an explosion on Bakhmutka highway (29th chekpoint area), which happened at 3.40 p.m. on July 4. The wounded soldiers were taken to a hospital with injuries of different severity," the report reads.

The explosion was qualified as a terrorist act according to the article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Earlier, an Aidar battalion soldier wrote on Facebook that a group of Ukrainian servicemen tripped a mine near the 29th checkpoint yesterday. At the same time, the General Staff said that this information was not true.
