"During the search operation it was established that the missing officers were requested assistance of their acquaintance Herman Salnikov, born 1972, registered in Donetsk, after the occupation lived in Kyiv where he worked in the Fiscal Service of Ukraine. At one of the checkpoints of the Ukrainian military he was supposed to meet his wife from Donetsk to send their child on holiday," he wrote.
"On the way, the officers got lost and stumbled upon the "DPR" militants. Herman Salnikov was killed on the spot and Ihor Kobzar was wounded in the leg. Then the officers were put into the pit, beaten and humiliated," Abroskin added.
Also head of the regional police posted a screenshot of the news from the militants' information website in which traffic police officers told about the alleged "voluntary transition" to the terrorists' side.
"That is the truth about the" voluntary transition" of our employees to the "service of the republic's law enforcement," Abroskin concluded.
