Frank-Walter Steinmeier said that the action that was being prepared as the local elections could not be referred to as elections with regard to the terms of the Minsk agreement.

The representatives of the "DPR" and "LPR" militants earlier expressed the desire to hold "local elections" in the territories controlled by the terrorists October 18. It's a week before the local elections to be held in the rest of Ukraine.

It should be reminded that President Poroshenko has also strongly criticized the statements made by the militants and stressed that the holding of elections on October 18 would be a violation of Minsk agreements.
