 Son of the head of Kyiv Appeals Court detained, - Prosecutor's Office

July 2, 2015 investigators of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine together with the SBU officers pursuant to Art. 208 of the Criminal Code detained the author of SMS-messages being the son of the head of the Kyiv Appeals Court A. Chernushenko. These SMS-messages contained instructions on decisions in cases of the Kyiv Appeals Court, received by the judge of the Kyiv Appeals Court A. Chernushenko.

This was announced by PGO press service, Censor.NET informs.

"It is established that during Jan. 2013 - June 2015 D. Chernushenko, using his mobile phone, was sending SMS-messages to the judge of the Kyiv Appeals Court A. Chernushenko with instructions on decisions in cases of the Kyiv Appeals Court. Later on A. Chernushenko intervened into the automated workflow system of the court "ASED Appeal" for the purpose of artificial distribution of cases and making himself presiding or judge in the board considering certain cases to be able to enact knowingly unjust decisions (orders). At present, the detained is in a pretrial detention center. Within 24 hours after detention, he must be notified of a suspicion of criminal offenses, following which the documents to address the investigating judge with a motion on a restraint measure will be prepared," PGO informed.
