 Head of the State Border Guard Service dismissed agency’s several officials of the West region due to extremely weak progress in fighting smuggling

The head of the State Border Guard Service suspended a number of officials from duty in the course of his working trip to the western region.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the State Border Guard Service.

According to the statement, Viktor Nazarenko checked the progress of fight against crime, illegal migration and smuggling of cigarettes in the area of responsibility of the Western Regional Office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

"Summarizing the results of the work, the head of the agency has assessed the progress of fight against these negative developments as extremely weak. Several officials of the Regional Office and State Border Guard Service have been suspended from duty and held administratively liable," the statement reads.
