 Donbas contact line crossing procedure to be simplified as much as possible, Poroshenko says

New procedure for granting access to the ATO area will be introduced in the near future.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said during the presentation of the draft amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine regarding decentralization, Censor.NET informs citing UNIAN.

"I have instructed to develop a mechanism for granting access into our territory for those citizens who have not been suspected in commission of any illegal activities, to simplify procedure of crossing the line of contact," Poroshenko said.

The president noted that "it will be done due to the simplification of administrative procedures, lack of necessity for personal reception by bureaucrats who issue and register passes, all this will be done through online interactions exceptionally."

The Ukrainian Head of State noted that tomorrow Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov will hold a final meeting on his behalf and the new crossing procedure will be implemented soon.

According to the president, the "green corridor" for the access of either Ukrainian humanitarian supplies - to support Ukrainian citizens in the occupied territories and protect their constitutional rights and goods of the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international organizations as well as the European partners will be organized on his behalf.

The president also said that a number of projects will be implemented in the Donbas that will restore the destroyed infrastructure, power and water supply, including with the use of donor partners' funds.
