He stressed: "After a series of talks, both cases have been finally passed in a single pair of hands - to the Interior Ministry. The prosecutor's office has made a decision. We have the possibility now to conduct investigation efficiently also taking into account the materials from the SBU which include information on offshore companies and accounts where the illegal income was transferred."
He noted: "A search at the BRSM base located in Pereiaslavske village in the Kyiv region was conducted yesterday. Eight motorized pumping devices, similar to those, which led to a fire in Hlevakha village according to the theory of the investigation, were seized among other things there.
"What kind of devices were those? Why such an attention was attracted? There is reasonable suspicion that these improvised devices were used to produce low-quality condensate and low-quality gasoline with toxic additives to further produce infringing 92 and 95 gasoline. According to the estimates of the investigation, "BRSM-Nafta" made huge profits as a result of these activity that were in all senses both technologically dangerous (the major fire was the evidence) and illegal. These profits were withdrawn through corruption schemes and offshore accounts. The work to study these accounts and their owners was started. The investigation is underway," Avakov summed up.
