 SBU: contraband trafficking for militants which Ukrainian military was privy to has been shut off

The Security Service of Ukraine has shut off smuggling of goods to the territory controlled by the “DPR” and “LPR” terrorists as a result of a large-scale special operation conducted in the ATO area.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement of the SBU press-service.

The servicemen of one of the volunteer battalions and military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were involved in smuggling, the report reads.

"The officers of the Security Service found eight truckloads of food, alcoholic beverages and other goods near Stanytsia Luhanska. The trucks with goods, accompanied by soldiers of one of the volunteer battalions, tried to cross the line of contact in the direction of Luhansk," the statement reads.

The trucks and the soldiers who accompanied them were detained by the Security Service officers and the National Guard servicemen. The criminal proceedings have been opened. Urgent investigative actions to establish all persons from the armed forces and law enforcement agencies involved in the organization and functioning of the supply chain of goods to the terrorists are underway.
