"Judging by Markin's profile in 2012-2013 he served in the 50th operative purposes brigade of the Russian Interior Troops. Since late 2013 he has been a contract soldier of the Russian 7th occupation base in Gudauta (Abkhazia, Georgia) Southern Military District.
"In spring - early summer of 2014, as part of a battalion tactical group of the 7th base he underwent a pre-Ukraine training at Ashuluk range in the Astrakhan region, from where the division was redeployed to the Donbas, as evidenced by the group photo made in September 2014 posted on Markin's page, where Russian soldiers are trying to masquerade as militants and are overdoing it.
"It should be noted that according to our observations, unlike Russian military personnel, the militants are always dressed in brand-new uniforms, while Russian "warriors" look like bums," the blogger writes.
"Markin is currently on leave, after which he will most likely return to the 7th base location at a field camp deployed in the Rostov region, in close proximity to the Ukrainian border, used for raids whenever the puppet regimes of "DPR/LPR" are in crisis, which we have observed numerous times," Komakhidze wrote.
