"A criminal investigation has been launched regarding Ukrspyrt company, which revealed violations worth of 200 mln UAH ($9.5 million) across smaller enterprises that belong to the state company," Bilan said. "At the moment, we are in cooperation with the head of the company and we do not block its operations," the official noted.

Answering the question regarding how could the large oil depot of BRSM-Nafta, which belongs to people of former president Viktor Yanukovych, operate near Kyiv for so long, Bilan said: "The check-up of BRSM-Nafta company started in March this year, which revealed damages to the state in amount of 230 mln UAH ($11 million). On June 10 [two days after the fire started - ed.] a criminal proceeding was launched. Regarding the question to whom the depot belongs, we at the Fiscal Service do not check on which party stands politically behind the entity. We are only interested in tax and other payments from the company," first deputy head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine said.
