'Corruption fighters' dismissed from the SBU will try to return to prestigious posts through courts

First Deputy Head of the Security Service Yurii Artiukhov predicts that dismissed heads of the SBU anti-corruption units will return to their positions.

He said this during a meeting of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainian News.

"I think that they will return to their posts ... One of them led the operation to arrest smuggling of more than 500 kg of heroin," the first vice-chairman said.

He noted that he was surprised by the decision to dismiss the heads of these departments. "I was not aware of the decision," he said.

According to him, the decision to dismiss or suspend the heads of these units is fully within the competence of the head of the SBU.

Artiyukhov emphasized that these leaders were suspended, not fired.

It should be noted that Yurii Artiukhov is believed to be linked to the Presidential Administration.

Earlier it was reported that Nalyvaichenko sacked the entire leadership of the central board of the anti-corruption unit of the SBU. Today it became known that former heads of the departments were asking the court to declare Nalyvaichenko's order on their dismissal illegal.
