Poroshenko: me and Putin live in different universes

Poroshenko says it is much easier to communicate with the representatives of the Western world.

This opinion was expressed by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in an interview with Bloomberg TV, Censor.NET reports.

When asked whether he ever discussed the human cost with the Russian president, he said: "Absolutely. Every time." He added that "Unfortunately, we live in different universes. It is much easier to speak with Western leaders. We speak one language. We share the same values. It is extremely difficult to speak with Russia."

Answering the question as to being offended by Putin's visit to the Pope, Poroshenko said that he hated the idea of bringing religion into this, noting that every person should have his/her own way to God, and that he prayed to Lord to give wisdom to everyone, including the Russian president, to stop the aggression, and to stop the war.

Poroshenko added that he admired world leaders such as Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, Lu Quan Yu, and lots of current leaders including Angela Merkel.
