 SBU opened criminal case against former Deputy Prosecutor General for receiving bribes from management of BRSM-Nafta tank farm - Nalyvaichenko

The Security Service of Ukraine opened a criminal case against the former Deputy Prosecutor General for getting illegal income from management of the BRSM-Nafta tank farm.

Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentyn Nalyvaichenko said at the "Corruption as the threat to the national security" - the round table on fighting corruptionon which was held Friday in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.


"Corruption has already delivered its impact and created an environmental disaster at the tank farm in the Vasylkiv district. Why it had caught fire? Because the owners allowed it. Former minister Stavytskyi and others were involved in protection, received illegal income as well as one of the former Deputy Prosecutor General. The Security Service of Ukraine has already opened a criminal case and we are eager to work while one should better not try to stop us," he said.
