Russian Federation is getting ready to launch an aggression, and Marinka assault is a proof to this.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the NSDC press service, this was announced by the National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov in his interview to 5th Channel.

He said that the terrorists' attempt to assault and seize territories near Marinka was a total failure. According to Turchynov, Ukrainian military demonstrated they were ready to repel any assault at any time, and terrorists have suffered serious losses. "We do not rule out that this was a fighting reconnaissance; the Russians wanted to check how fast the Ukrainian army would react to a military provocation," the NSDC Secretary said.

Turchynov reminded that under the Minsk agreements, Ukraine had withdrawn heavy weapons from the demarcation line, and this was exactly what the terrorists wanted - to redeploy tank units and artillery under cover in order to battle through the Ukrainian positions.

"The Ukrainian Army showed enough mobility and efficiency of its operations, and it was like a cold shower for those who had prepared the provocation and the large-scale offensive. I am sure they will be now correcting their provocative plans," Turchynov said.

Besides, the NSDC secretary noted that the issue of the conflict being transferred to an active military phase is especially relevant at the moment. "According to our information, Russia is preparing an invasion, a launch of aggression, and this is the task of our military, of the defense manufacture complex to get ready to this," he said.

Turchynov also added that as long as "Russian military controls part of our border along the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the demarcation line is under control of our military" in order to prevent attacks by both Russian-terrorist gangs and Russian troops.

"We cannot take away the checkpoints for this is a possibility for an open aggression, terrorism and separatism and so on. Until the border is closed, the demarcation line will be under control. We have to protect our country from terrorism export and sabotage and reconnaissance groups," NSDC secretary stressed.
