 European Parliament went to the Hague Tribunal for crimes commited by Russia in Ukraine, - Ministry of justice of Ukraine

European Parliament appealed to the International criminal court for investigation of crimes committed by Russian authorities on the territory of Ukraine.

As Censor.NET informs, Pavlo Petrenko, Minister of Justice of Ukraine said that in an interview to 5th TV Channel.

He pointed out that at the territories controlled by terrorists mass violation of human rights were observed, the Russian Federation being responsible for that.

"Now our citizens can demand compensation from Russia of damages caused by loss of property, tortures, other violations of human rights," he added emphasizing that that was a juridical side of the problem.

At the same time the political aspect is that after Ukrainian appeal to the European Parliament it, in its turn, sent an appeal to the International Criminal Court for investigation of crimes committed by Russian authorities on the territory of Ukraine.

As the Minister of Justice said, "it will increase chances that the Hague Tribunal will soon start hearing the case against Putin and his surrounding for crimes against humanity in the east [of Ukraine - ed.] and in Crimea."
