"The below ensues from a publication about Russian air-defense force in Donbas titled "Russian anti-aircraft gunners from 205th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade responsible for downing of Ukrainian aircrafts in the Donbas. PHOTOS." Since the publication, news of anti-aircraft gunner Polkanov was picked up by a number of media and forums. But oddly enough, his social media profile has not been rectified yet and Polkanov himself has not visited his page since May 15 (perhaps he is no longer alive and no one updated his page).
Thanks to regular readers of InformNapalm, new life episodes of Sergeant S.V. Polkanov, anti-aircraft gunner, emerged. Polkanov was convicted of perjury in Budennovsk garrison military court under Part 1 st.307 of the Russian Criminal Code. The Court ordered Polkanov to pay a fine of 30,000 RUB ($555). The case can be found here.
This is not the first time when convicted Russian servicemen get rehabilitated for their "Ukrainian business trips." Another one, commander of 247th Airborne Assault Regiment (military unit 54801 of Stavropol) Colonel Roman Yuvakaev was also rehabilitated for his participation in the undeclared war against Ukraine.
National of the Russian Federation, S.V. Polaikov committed actions containing elements of criminal offence under the following articles of the RF Criminal Code:
205 (Act of Terrorism ),
205.1 (Facilitating Terrorist Activities),
205.3 (Training to conduct Terrorist Activity),
205.4 (Forming of terrorist groups and participation therein),
208 (Organizing and participating in an illegal armed group),
222 (Illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons or its basic parts and ammunition),
222.1(Illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation or carrying of explosives or explosive devices),
322 (Illegal crossing of the Russian Federation border).
Based on the above information, and in conformity with the articles 144-145 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, the author of InformNapalm Iraklii Komakhidze is requesting an evaluation of the activities of Sergey Valentinovich Polkanov. Such evaluation would allow to verify if the committed actions were crimes stipulated in articles 105, 205, 205.1, 205.3, 205.4, 208, 222, 222.1, 322, 359 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
