 Krymske impacted by mortar and artillery strikes, a fierce battle took place on village outskirts – Governor of Luhansk region

There was a clash with the militants in Krymske in the afternoon.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of Luhansk Regional State Administration Head Hennadii Moskal.

"A fierce battle between the militants from Sokilnyky village and the Ukrainian military took place on the outskirts of the Krymske village Monday afternoon (June 8). Our position was shelled by artillery and mortars first and then an engagement with the use of the automatic firearms and grenade launchers began. The residents of Krymske, who live in the houses on the streets adjacent to the TB dispensary (the outskirt of the village controlled by the Ukrainian servicemen), have long been forced to hide in cellars," the statement reads.

"The battle has ended as of 5 p.m. According to preliminary data, there are no civilian casualties and major infrastructure damage. The information on military casualties is being specified," the RSA press service added.
