 Yatseniuk to visit the United States next week to prepare for investment conference and negotiations with the IMF

Prime Minister Yatseniuk intends to visit the United States to prepare for the investment conference and negotiations with the IMF early next week (June 8-10).

He said this during the question hour in the Verkhovna Rada, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

In particular, the prime minister noted that he together with President Petro Poroshenko planned to hold meeting with the representatives of local communities and territories early next week to discuss a voluntary association of citizens but the meeting was postponed to the next Friday (June 12) in connection with his visit to the United States.

"It (the meeting - Ed.) has been planned for the beginning of the next week but we will hold this meeting next Friday due to the fact that I'm departing to the United States in order to prepare an investment conference with the aim of meeting with the International Monetary Fund and other financial institutions, including the U.S. Department of Treasury as well as carry out all necessary negotiations to obtain additional financial resources for the country," Yatseniuk said.

He promised to invite deputies to the meeting on the voluntary association of citizens.
