 UN Security Council to hold extraordinary meeting on the conflict in Ukraine on the initiative of Lithuania tomorrow

The UN Security Council will hold an extraordinary meeting regarding the situation in Ukraine on Friday. The meeting is convened on the initiative of Lithuania. The representatives of the OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine as well as United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman will speak at a briefing.

Censor.NET reports citing RIA Novosti and the Permanent Mission of Lithuania to the United Nations.

"The Security Council will hold meeting on Ukraine Friday at the request of the Lithuanian mission. The representatives of the OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine as well as United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman will speak at a press briefing," the agency was told. The mission of Lithuania expects that OSCE Special Monitoring Mission Deputy Head Alexander Hug will report to the members of the Security Council on behalf of the mission. The briefing will take place in an open format.
