 Captured Russian special forces operative Yerofeyev transferred to pre-trial detention centre, - attorney

The detained Russian special forces operative captain Yerofeyev was moved from Kyiv military hospital to a pre-trial detention center.

The operative's attorney Oksana Sokolovska announced, Censor.NET informs with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

"Half an hour ago I was told that he was moved to a pretrial detention center," she said.

As reported before, the Security Service of Ukraine announced that one of the detained would be moved to pretrial detention center from the hospital that day.

On May 16 the servicemen of the Chief Intelligence Department of the Russian army Aleksandr Aleksandrov and Aleksandr Yerofeyev were detained by Ukrainian soldiers near Shchastya. On May 22 they were confronted with a suspicion in participation in terrorist activity in the so called "LPR".

On May 22, Kyiv Shevchenko district court detained Captain Aleksandrov and Sergeant Yerofeyev for two months.

In conversation with members of OSCE Monitoring mission, the Russian special forces servicemen admitted that they used to visit eastern Ukraine with different tasks earlier by the order of the Russian military command.

Earlier an official representative of Russian Defense Ministry Igor Konashenkov declared that the Ministry expects that the detained Russian citizens in Ukraine would be released, and pointed out that the captured Yerofeyev and Aleksandrov were former Russian servicemen. The press-secretary of Putin Peskov demanded in his turn that the Russian servicemen were released.
