Verkhovna Rada supported submission of the Prosecutor General 's Office to grant consent to prosecute MP Serhii Melnychuk.

The decision was supported by 262 deputies, Censor.NET correspondent reports.

At the same time, the Parliament rejected the the PGO's submission on the consent to detain and arrest the MP. The decision was supported by only 32 deputies.

Earlier, Vice-Speaker Andrii Parubii called on the parliament to lift the immunity of MP Serhii Melnychuk, but not to give consent for his arrest.
