"This could turn into a full continental war" - Turchynov on Russia’s resumption of military actions in Donbas

The resumption of active hostilities in the East of Ukraine by Russia may lead to the start of a continental war.

This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov during the VIII Kyiv Security Forum on Thursday, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"We must clearly understand that if hostilities resumed, it will be at a higher and more dangerous level, these hostilities could escalate into a full continental war," Turchynov said.

He stressed that Russia continues to accumulate armed forces at the border with Ukraine and in Crimea to eliminate the Minsk agreement and start military actions at any moment.

Earlier, Turchynov stated that Putin was trying to hide the direct participation of Russian military and its losses in the war against Ukraine in the Donbas.
