 Russia’s consul visited Russian special forces operatives detained in the Donbas

The head of the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Ukraine Alexei Gruby visited the detained Russian servicemen in the hospital.

Censor.NET reports citing TSN.

The representative of the Russian embassy left the hospital through a back door trying to escape from journalists. His only comment he gave as response to almost all the questions was: "It is necessary to wait for an official comment of the Embassy."

"They are alive and relatively healthy, which is good. We have met and this is what matters now," Gruby said.

The representative of the Russian Federation also stated that possibility to exchange the two Russian commandos for captive Ukrainians, particularly Nadiya Savchenko, wasout of the question until the investigation was underway.

The meeting of the consul with the detained Russian servicemen lasted for almost two hours. Enhanced security measures were introduced at the hospital during the visit of the Russian diplomat.
