 Attacker who took hostages has been killed - Kharkiv Governor

The offender, who shot two people dead and took three gas station employees hostage at a petrol-filling station near the village of Korotych in the Kharkiv region, has been killed.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Ihor Rainin stated, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"The offender has been eliminated," he told the reporters.

Rainin said that all three gas station workers who were taken hostage were unhurt. The doctors are currently taking care of them due to their moral and psychological condition.

The head of the Regional State Administration has also made a note of the operational excellence of the law enforcers adding that the situation was complicated by the fact that the events took place at a gas station.

As reported by users of social networks, the terrorist was shot in the head through his car's side window.
