Yatseniuk: Poroshenko and I will never allow to have a copycat case of relations between Yushchenko and Tymoshenko

Ukrainian PM Arsenii Yatseniuk argues that his relationship with President Petro Poroshenko is good and will never be such as were between Viktor Yushchenko and Yulia Tymoshenko during their stay in power.

He stated this in an interview with The Financial Times, when asked about the possible misunderstandings with the president, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.

"That's normal. But we will never allow to have a copycat case of relations between [former president Viktor] Yushchenko and [former prime minister] Yulia Tymoshenko. We have proven this already. There are a number of constitutional troubles between the relations of the institute of the president, and the executive. But we have weathered a number of storms. I think the Americans say, we hang together, or we hang separately. The two of us realise that. And we are obliged to act together. We are not allowed to repeat [2005]. This is the last chance for my country," Yatseniuk assured.

It should be reminded that the relationship between Yushchenko and Tymoshenko soured after eight months of joint work when the president had dismissed the government in September 2005. Their relations still remain tense.
