Ukrainian soldier killed in four-hour Shyrokyne shelling. PHOTOS

Terrorists have been shelling the village of Shyrokyne for four hours. One Donbas battalion soldier has been killed and one more wounded.

Press service of the Azov battalion reports, Censor.NET writes.

"The situation in Shyrokyne village is stably difficult. Starting from 11:40 a.m., the militants have fired at positions of the Ukrainian military from large-caliber machine guns, small arms, AGS, RPGs, 82-mm and 120-mm mortars. Several times they also fired from a self-propelled artillery platform. As a result, a Donbas battalion soldier was wounded. The shelling continues," the report as of 2 p.m. on May 24 reads.

One hour later Azov battalion informed that the intensity of terrorist shelling decreased.

"The situation is still tense. After the four-hour shelling, it is still not calm in Shyrokyne. One soldier of the Donbas battalion, which is now on the frontline, was killed and one more wounded as of 3 p.m. on May 24," the report reads.
