Two dozen of "lost" Russian servicemen were in captivity by the Ukrainian armed forces. LIST

The incident with the two members of the Russian Special Forces unit, who were captured on May 17 near the town of Shchastia (the Luhansk region), has drawn a response both in Ukraine and abroad.

According to Russian media, the incident ruffled a lot of feathers within the Russian Army Headquarters, because the detainment of active servicemen of the Russian army undeniably proves that Russia is directly involved in the undeclared war against Ukraine and that Russia broke the Minsk agreements.

It was the first time when armed members of the Russian GRU were detained while conducting combat operations within Ukrainian borders. The same cannot be said of the "lost" Russian servicemen, who kept "getting lost" on Ukrainian side of the border numerous times since the beginning of the armed conflict in the Donbas region. From the public sources alone, Censor.NET has collected evidence of almost two dozen of Russian servicemen who were detained by the Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
