 Spain ratifies Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union

Spain ratified the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union yesterday, May 19.

This is stated by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Censor.NET reports citing RBC-Ukraine.

"Spain has submitted the document, which ratifies the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, to the General Secretariat of the Council of Europe. Prior to that the document has been approved by the parliament and signed by the King," the statement reads.

The Foreign Ministry noted that the ratification of the document witnesses that Spain adheres to its commitments with respect to Ukraine.

Thus, 18 out of the 31 countries (Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Denmark, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Finland, Croatia, Sweden, Estonia, Spain, and Ukraine itself) have fully accomplished the procedure of ratification at the moment.
