Situation in Russia-U.S. relations is depressing, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia says after meeting with Nuland

Moscow is disappointed with the present state of Russian-American bilateral relations and blames the U.S. for their deterioration.

This is being reported by Censor.NET with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

"Reconciliation of hours has been conducted. In general, the situation in the bilateral relations is depressing and we believe that the responsibility for that lies with the Washington," Sergej Ryabkov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia said summing up the results of the meeting with Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland on Monday in Moscow.

He noted that some problematic nodes of bilateral relations have been discussed with Nuland. "We even felt some interest on the American part to look together for some solutions, but I'd like to emphasize that it is not the result of any special agreements, deals, swaps, any compromises. This is not the subject," the Deputy Foreign Minister said.

Ryabkov noted that during the meeting, the parties focused on some "problematic tough nodes of bilateral relations in all areas, starting from the economy where the sanctions pressure is being felt," and ending with humanitarian, military and political spheres.
