"Yesterday (May 14) the militants fired mortars at Hirne of the Luhansk region. The fire was conducted from the direction of the occupied Pervomaisk. At approximately 7:30 p.m. a shell hit the suburbs of the town and hit a house, severely damaging the roof, summer kitchen and a garage. The woman who owns the house was in it at the time of the shelling. Miraculously she was not harmed," the statement reads.
"In general, the intensity of armed hostilities along the demarcation line in the Luhansk region has increased. In Bakhmutka the militants used mortars and automatic weapons against the 29th checkpoint (extreme point of the territory controlled by Ukraine). One soldier was wounded. The wounds are not serious and pose no threat to life. From 7 p.m. until midnight, firefights escalating into close combat broke out on the outskirts of Krymske. There is no information as to casualties.
"The positions of our security forces in Triokhizbenka were fired at with automatic weapons and sniper rifle. One soldier received a gunshot wound and was hospitalized in the district hospital. In addition, shootouts involving automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades took place in Stanytsia Luhanska, Shchastia and near Katerynivka. There has been no information regarding destruction of infrastructure and housing or casualties," the Regional Administration noted.
