 SBU found explosives cache near Mariupol. PHOTOS+VIDEO

The Security Service of Ukraine officers discovered cache of ammunition near the village of Kalynivka in Novoazovsk district of the Donetsk region, which the militants planned to use for carrying out attacks in Mariupol.

Censor.NET reports citing the SBU press-service.

The terrorists have arranged the cache not far from a highway among abandoned industrial structures. The criminals have hidden four anti-tank mines, a TNT block and electric fuse heads. According to experts, the ammunition was intended for creation of a high-explosive bomb.

The SBU officers established that the cache belonged to the militants of one of the illegal armed groups of the so-called "DPR", which was carrying out acts of sabotage against the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Novoazovsk district.

Criminal proceedings were opened under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Urgent investigative activities to locate other weapons caches of this terrorist group are underway.
