The total amount of Russian soldiers deployed in the Donbas reaches 11 thousand people.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Liga, this was announced by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on air of German TV ZDF.

According to the president, the total amount of Russian soldiers deployed in the Donbas reaches 11 thousand people.

"Today we can see that, despite the signed Minsk agreement, the number of Russian weapons and Russian troops on the occupied territory is increasing," he said stressing that there is a large concentration of Russian troops to the east from Mariupol. Thus, Poroshenko said, this direction is a 'main priority' on the defense line.

As reported, on Feb. 12, 2015, after long talks in the Normandy format on settlement of the crisis in Ukraine, an agreement was signed, which provided for cease of all combat activities in the Donbas effective Feb. 15, as well as gradual withdrawal of heavy weapons from the demarcation line between the parties. Despite this agreement, occupants continue to violate cease-fire for dozens of times each day.
