U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry does not rule out lifting of sanctions against Russia in future.

A prerequisite for it is complete cease-fire in the east of Ukraine, Kerry said after several hours of consultations with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov and President Vladimir Putin in Sochi on May 12, 2015. This is reported by Censor.NET citing German Zeit.

According to Kerry, existing global threats demand that the U.S. and Russia renew their cooperation as soon as possible. Lavrov, in his turn, announced that the meeting made the parties better understand each other.

Russia is ready to start cooperation with the U.S. bilaterally and on international level, the Russian minister stressed. Lavrov also added that this is only possible as equal cooperation without attempts of dictate of enforcement.
