U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry named immediate steps to resolve the conflict in the East of Ukraine, in particular a comprehensive cease-fire in Shyrokyne (near Mariupol).

This is reported by Censor.NET citing the U.S. Department of State.

"I made clear our deep concerns regarding the situation on the ground - continued perceived violations of cease-fire in Shyrokyne and at the Donetsk airport; the continued arming, training, command and control of separate forces," Kerry noted.

"We really believe that a genuine cease-fire in Shyrokyne needs to be undertaken. I think Sergey (Lavrov - ed.) and President Putin agreed that that is important, as well as the withdrawal of weapons and the demilitarization and monitoring by the OSCE," the secretary of state said.
