 Requests for arrest warrants of MPs Kliuiev and Melnychuk submitted to Rada - Shokin

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin filed an application to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for issuing arrest warrants for former member of the Party of Regions Serhii Kliuiev and faction independent MP Serhii Melnychuk.

Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin said at a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"I have filed two requests for granting consent for criminal prosecution today, May 12. The first one regards Verkhovna Rada deputy Serhii Kliuiev, who is suspected of committing crimes under Part 4 of the Article 190, Part 5 of the Article 191 and Part 2 of the Article 264 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The request for granting consent for criminal prosecution, arrest, and detention of Ukraine's MP Serhii Melnychuk was also tabled," Shokin said.
