 Russia did not consent to peacekeeping forces in Ukraine, but does not dispute the idea - Putin's press secretary

Spokesman for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov denies that Russia has agreed to the presence of peacekeepers in the area of conflict in Ukraine.

According to Russian media, Peskov said that Russia 'does not dispute' the idea of peacekeepers, but it did not consent to deployment of peacekeepers in Ukraine, Censor.NET reports citing Liga.

Moscow insists that "the OSCE should fulfill its mission."

Yesterday the press service of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine informed that the Normandy Four leaders (Ukraine, Germany, Russia and France) discussed the implementation of the Minsk Agreement by telephone. "In the context of the discussion of ways of peaceful settlement President Putin agreed with the possibility of deployment of peacekeeping contingent in the Donbas," the Administration stated.
