Russia continues to undermine the Minsk agreement implementation plan - U.S. State Department

Spokesperson for the U.S. State Department Marie Harf says that Russia and the insurgents in the Donbas continue to violate the Minsk agreement.

It is reported by Censor.NET citing ZN.UA.

Russia continues to undermine the implementation plan of the Minsk agreements through ongoing support of the militants, Harf said. She stressed that Russia and militants cannot choose which items of the Minsk agreement they will perform and which not - they signed these agreements and they need to respect them.

The press-secretary of the U.S. State Department stressed that Ukraine continued to demonstrate progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements unlike Russia and the militants it supports.

In addition, she noted that the presence of U.S. military instructors in Ukraine does not violate the agreements that were reached in Minsk. The U.S.- Ukrainian exercises are held in the western part of the country, not in the east, and these exercises have been carried out for the past 20 years.

Earlier, the U.S. State Department noted that there is a significant number of Russian soldiers in Ukraine.
