ATO Command harshly criticized quality of OSCE monitoring: Report on firing in the area of Shyrokyne is misleading and incomplete

Data published by the OSCE Monitoring Nission on shelling in the area of Shyrokyne village that had been allegedly carried out by the Ukrainian armed forces is false.

"The Command of the ATO HQ official states that the data released by the OSCE SMM does not correspond to information on firing in the Ukraine-controlled territories that was recorded by the ATO HQ in sector M," the statement notes.

It is stressed that in total, there were 17 cases of opening fire on the Ukrainian armed forces' positions over the said 24 hours, in response to which Ukrainian units opened fire eight times.

The ATO command considers that instances of the OSCE SMM spreading misleading and incomplete information are unacceptable, and underlines the need for an early decision on installing of the OSCE SMM web cameras for surveillance in the hottest spots along the line of contact," the statement concluded.
