 Situation in Donbas remains restless. Opytne and Pisky shelled twice by mortars - ATO press center

On April 28, the situation in the anti-terrorist operation area in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions remained troubled.

This is stated by the ATO press center, Censor.NET reports.

The summary reads: "Since midnight illegal armed groups conducted 30 shellings of the Ukrainian troops' positions along the demarcation line using small arms, automatic grenade launchers, mortars and self-propelled guns.

"In the Donetsk region, shelling by 120-mm mortars was conducted against ATO positions near Orlovske, Hranytne, Leninske, and Artemivske and twice near Opytne and Pisky."

"There were armed clashes in the area of Pavlopil from 00:30 to 00:40 a.m. and from 1:10 to 1:15 a.m. Our troops stopped the attackers with dense fire and forced them to retreat.

"In the Luhansk region gangs opened fire twice from automatic grenade launcher against our strong points near Shchastia, and from small arms against the positions near Krymske and Novotoshkivske.

"Also in Shchastia from 5:36 to 5:41 p.m. the criminals used automatic grenade launchers against the thermal power plant. Ukrainian units recorded nine enemy drone flights in the sky near Mariupol," the press center of the ATO summed up.
