 Prosecutor General's Office filed the first case regarding Odesa tragedy of May 2 to court

The PGO filed the first indictment against a suspect in murder during the riots in Odesa, May 2, 2014.

This is stated by the press service of the PGO, Censor.NET reports.

"On April 22 this year the Prosecutor General's Office directed an indictment on suspicion of citizen H. in criminal offenses under paragraphs 5, 7 pt. 2, Art. 115 (premeditated murder), pat. 2, Art. 15, paragraphs 1, 5, 7, pt. 2, Art. 115, pt. 2, Art. 294 (rioting), Art. 348 (attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer, a member of the public formation for the protection of public order and the state border or a servicemen) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine to the Prymorskyi district court of Odesa," the report says.

"It has been established that on May 2, 2014 in the riots that took place in the city of Odesa, the said citizen, armed with firearms including hunting rifle, ammunition cartridges with buckshot, made several aimed shots in the direction of a group of people that attacked football fans and police officers. As a result, he caused the death of one person and made an attempt on life of a law enforcement officer with infliction of grievous bodily harm and injuries of moderate severity," the PGO noted.
