Ukrainian army is not going to launch offensive - Poroshenko

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are not going to embark on the offensive.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during an interview with "Ukraine" TV channel, Censor.NET reports citing RBC-Ukraine.

"The propaganda media now claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing to launch an attack. I would like to assure you that as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I can provide absolutely firm guarantees that we will strictly adhere to the Minsk agreements, we do not launch an offensive, and we will honor all the commitments. At the same time we are obliged to protect the civilians, and if the Ukrainian troops are attacked, we will do everything possible to protect them. The martial law will be declared immediately. I will introduce the corresponding bill into parliament and the country will be put on a wartime footing in no time," Poroshenko said.
