Samopomich lawmaker Miroshnik who planned 10,000 euro trip to Maldives steps down as MP: "I want to be a free man"

Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on veterans and disabled persons, Samopomich MP Andrii Miroshnk announced the discarding of the deputy mandate.

This is stated by the press service of the Samopomich party, Censor.NET reports.

"I continue to believe that a poor politician will not build a rich Ukraine. Moreover, it will not be built by politicians pretending to be poor. I'm going back to my favorite thing - telecommunications business.

I have always been a free man, and I want to stay this way. I will continue to support important public initiatives, in particular, helping our glorious soldiers," Miroshnik said.

He also apologized to the constituents who believe his behavior unworthy of the honor of representing them.

"I wish my colleagues to withstand all the pressure," Miroshnik concluded.
