Conversation with Muzhenko on Debaltseve bridgehead failed again. Chief of Staff scheduled a meeting and then ‘flew away to a training exercise’ - Tymchuk

Parliament members of the Committee on Debaltseve events could not meet with Chief of Staff Viktor Muzhenko due to him urgently ‘flying away to a training exercise’.

This was announced by People's Front MP, member of the working group of the Parliamentary Committee on Debaltseve Dmytro Tymchuk on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.

"The shenanigans with the Chief of Staff continue. As of 2 p.m., an agreement for the Chief of Staff to meet with MPs today at 7 p.m. was still valid, provided that the deputies will have not more than four hours. And now they announced that the Chief of Staff 'flew away to a training exercise'. The next attempt at a meeting on Monday. We are waiting," Tymchuk noted.

"If the Chief of Staff decided to use the tactic of 'the main thing is to wear down the opponent by running' than this is not the case. We have too many fundamental questions to the military leadership [for us] to give up," he added.

Earlier, Tymchuk stated that MPs, members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Debaltseve events intended to visit Chief of the General Staff of the armed forces Viktor Muzhenko to clarify circumstances that led to the loss of Debaltseve bridgehead. Prior to that, Muzhenko continuously evaded the meeting.
