According to him, the militants used small arms, as well as grenade launchers and mortars (82 and 120 mm) and tank weapons (125 mm).
"Thus, in the area Maiorske the terrorists attempted to inflict fire damage to Ukrainian units in one of the strong points, using 120-mm mortars twice from different firing positions.
"The attacks near Pisky were also carried using 120-mm mortars and 122-mm cannon artillery (the shelling was conducted by several artillery units of the militants).
"In the area of Avdiivka the positions of the Ukrainian troops were fired upon from vehicle-mounted antiaircraft ZU-23-2 systems and 120-mm mortars.
"A group of militants' tanks (two units) operated near the village of Leninske, shelled the positions of Ukrainian troops and made several aimed shots.
"In the area of Shyrokyne and Opytne the militants used mortars, automatic grenade launchers AGS-17, large-caliber machine guns, and 122 mm artillery," Tymchuk noted.
