According to the company, strategic agreements in the field of military and technical cooperation between the two countries were reached during the working visit of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to France.
"Experts of Ukrinmash (Ukroboronprom subsidiary - ed.) signed a contract with the French company Thales Communication & Security SAS to supply means of tactical radio communications for the needs of the Ukrainian armed forces. A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed with the company regarding a joint project to create a modern patrol aircraft," the statement reads.
Ukroboronprom also signed a protocol with Airbus Helicopters SAS for the supply of H125 single-engine helicopters.
On July 4, 2014 Roman Romanov became the new head of Ukroboronprom. According to the results of its semi-annual work, the concern began in-depth cooperation with defense enterprises of NATO member countries. From July to December 2014, the list of international partners group added 20 new countries.
