 Militants intensified attacks on Ukrainian forces’ positions using small arms - the ATO press center

The Russian-terrorist forces have stepped up attacks on Ukrainian positions in the anti-terrorist operation area on April 20. The illegal armed groups violated the truce 20 times from midnight to 6 p.m. along the demarcation line using small arms mainly.

Censor.NET informs citing the ATO press center situation report.

The summary reads: "The hardest enemy attacks were committed against Avdiivka village in the Donetsk region, where the enemy shelled the ATO troops' positions from 120 mm mortars four times and once from anti-aircraft gun. Our positions near the village of Pisky were shelled five times. At night, the enemy committed strikes from 82 mm mortars and from 120-mm caliber mortars in the evening. The criminals opened fire in the direction of the ATO forces near Opytne village four times from anti-aircraft guns, machine guns and automatic grenade launchers.

"The illegal armed groups shelled the Ukrainian troops' positions not far from the Shyrokyne village from 82-millimeter mortars twice and used sniper rifles and small arms as well.

"The enemy attacked the Ukrainian stronghold near the village of Shchastia in the Luhansk region from rocket launchers and sniper rifles.

"In addition, our troops recorded flight of hostile drone at a height of 2,000 meters in the south of the Donetsk region near the village of Chermalyk at night. There were no attacks committed against peaceful cities and villages," the press center emphasized.
