"All trucks are in the Donbas": EMERCOM of Russia denied volunteers’ request to send humanitarian aid to Khakassia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation refused to provide St. Petersburg’s Vesna movement volunteers with trucks to send humanitarian aid to Khakassia, saying that "all trucks are currently in the Donbas."

Censor.NET reports citing Medusa.

The volunteers told that the EMERCOM had praised them for their quick response to fires, through which many residents of Khakassia have lost their homes, but noticed that the delivery of aid requires approvals. It is necessary to send an official letter with the list of goods to deliver the aid by air. In addition, the planes of the Emergency Situations Ministry fly from Moscow only. The delivery of aid by rail is only possible on a commercial basis.

According to the volunteers, they have finally found a man who agreed to deliver the aid in Khakassia on his own truck if they pay for the fuel. One of the companies from St. Petersburg agreed to cover the costs.
