 OSCE mission to work around the clock along the demarcation line. The peacekeepers’ issue remains relevant - Poroshenko

A day-and-night OSCE observation post to be established in the Donbas in upcoming days.

President Poroshenko announced at a press briefing at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center in Lviv region, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"The negotiations on creation of the OSCE 24-hour observation post in Shyrokyne were held and we hope that we will be able to achieve this together with our partners in the coming days," the president said after opening the Ukrainian-American Command Post Exercise "Fearless Guardian - 2015".

According to him, the observation point will become "an independent source that will evidence what the Ukrainians do and how they fully comply with the agreement, and on the other hand how the agreement is crudely violated not only by the terrorists, but by Russia as well.

"We were able to increase efficiency of the OSCE mission in the east of Ukraine thanks to international support. The experience in settlement of the situation, gained in Shyrokyne, will be applied in the Donetsk airport and the entire demarcation line. We will use all possible levers to ensure peace and security along the entire demarcation line," the president said.

"Ukraine is interested in expanding the OSCE mission and its ability to freely move throughout the Donbas," Poroshenko said.

According to him, the issue of peacekeepers' introduction remains urgent but Ukraine is still currently interested in expanding of the number of the OSCE mission representatives, their technical level, rights and possibilities to travel through one or another territory.
