 Ukrainian servicemen blew up militants’ tank during clash in Pisky - General Staff

The soldiers of the 9th Company of the 93rd Brigade have destroyed militants’ tank during a battle in the village of Pisky in the Donetsk region.

General Staff Spokesman Oleksii Mazepa stated, Censor.NET reports citing Ukraine 112 TV channel.

Mazepa said that the Ukrainian military have brewed up a tank during skirmish in Pisky village in the Donetsk region. "The tank was destroyed by the soldiers of the 9th Company of the 93rd Brigade, not by the OUN (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists) detachment," Mazepa stressed.

"The last 15 volunteers of the OUN battalion left the front line yesterday," he said. Mazepa stressed that there are only servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detachments and no volunteer troops at the forefront.

At the same time, according to Interfax-Ukraine, the militants have been shelling the village of Pisky and storming it with the support of artillery and armored vehicles starting from 5.30 a.m. Sunday. "The all-out assault on Pisky village has been taking place from 5.30 a.m. Two enemy companies supported by the armored vehicles and artillery are involved. There is battle in Pisky under way regardless of the Easter," member of the Right Sector Olena Bilozerska said.

This information has been confirmed by representatives of the 'Krym separate hundred' detachment: "The heavy 120-mm mortar shelling of Pisky village is being conducted today from 5.30 a.m. There are no losses among personnel. Our positions have not been damaged either," the press service of the Krym detachment reported.
