The ambassador said that French President Francois Hollande has decided to postpone the delivery of Mistral ships to the Russian Federation for an indefinite period. "I can not say that such a position satisfies us hundred percent. We would like the next step to be taken: a statement should be made that these ships will never be handed over to Russia," he said.

According to Shamshur, Mistral ships delivery to Russia can lead to a deterioration of the security situation not only in the Mediterranean but also in the Far East.
